Advent is the season in the church year where we prepare ourselves to mark Christmas, God’s once-for-all gift to us of Jesus Christ, God himself as man.

As St Matthew said, “the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light.
And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.”
Advent is our spiritual journey From Darkness To Light and we begin it in church with a service that starts in darkness but becomes candlelit and full of hope.,
So, instead of our usual 10 am, we’re meeting when it’s dark – at 6pm. Do come.
Maybe bring a torch?
