Church Life during the COVID Restrictions

Church Services are temporarily online via Zoom but we hope they will be weekly once more from the beginning of December.  Definite details for the immediate future are in the current AVMC Pews News. Select image.

When the church does reopen ...

Holy Communion services will follow the rules set out by the diocese of Exeter.

You will be shown to seating in a socially-distanced arrangement.
Please stay in your seat and wear a face-covering. The only exceptions are those leading the service from the front.

There is a one-way system for communion, which will be given in one kind only – namely, bread.
One of our welcomers will indicate when it’s time to go up.
Please then proceed up the centre aisle to the front.
Reach out with one hand to receive the wafer.
Then continue forwards to the right, past the Bindon Chapel, down the south aisle and back to your seat.

At the end of the service, please wait until a welcomer indicates.
Then take your service sheet and proceed to the exit door.
If you wish to give to the collection, there are envelopes in your seat
Please put your offering in the wall safe by the door then leave the church.

Please restrict all conversation until you are outside the church
You’re welcome to gather at a social distance on the green.

Alternative Church Services are available online and by telephone. You can take part in these either actively or as an observer.  Details in Pews News.

Quiet space. Although the Axmouth Church building has to be closed except for any services, the church grounds are available if you would like somewhere quiet to pause and reflect.
