Events coming up in June
Tuesday 5th June- Axmouth Jubilee Celebration Party on Church Green from 2-6 pm. Barbecues, balloons, beat-boxing, band, Dave Trezise and partners singing, children entertaining, face-painting, teas in the Village Hall- and the climax of the proceedings -Teddy Launching from the Tower!!! An event not to be missed
Wednesday June 6th- Friends’ Work Party from 6.30 till 8 pm when we get together to do those practical jobs in and around the church- weeding, moving branches or stones, painting railings, raking grass etc. This is a popular evening activity enjoyed by all and greatly appreciated by the church community.
Friday 8th June- Praying Together- a quiet time to meditate and reflect on the exciting events of the week, and to bring to God all of our friends who have not been able to be with us because of illness or frailty.
Wednesday June 13th- A Wildlife Walk around the churchyard- meeting at 7pm to be guided by Pat Farrell of Wildscapes (Devon AONB). We will be looking at some of the plants and creatures that find refuge in our quiet churchyard.
Friday June 15th- Explore a tranquil area of Axmouth – Lower Bruckland Farm, with its lakes and beautiful scenery. The cost is £5 a ticket, to include wine and cheeseboard. Meet at the farm between 6 and 7pm, and choose to wander alone or in company. Transport should be available for those wanting a lift.
All proceeds will to go to the Friends of Axmouth Church.
