What a lovely story of a well loved labyrinth. I can feel the sacred space enhanced with the Gregorian chant. Thank you for sharing your story of celebration... It is wonderful to hear of a labyrinth in constant use for Seven Years.

I remembered learning a poem at school in the 1950s "Prayer for Rain" but could only remember parts of it. Google didn't recognise it, so I typed in a couple of lines from it; "through England and wild Wales send thy silver, slanting gales" .....and your website came up with the poem in it !Thank you so much! It has come to my mind many times over the years, and last September in Scotland, while I didn't pray for rain, I certainly had some, and saw "the brooks pound to the seas".....on my final, very rainy day I dripped into the Inveroran Hotel and asked for a pot of tea if they were still serving it. The kind lady pointed to the other tables with teapots on and cheerful mugs with red poppies on. I enjoyed the pot of tea, the shelter from the rain, the friendship of other wet walkers and I recently bought a mug with poppies on to remind myself of that time!
I was born in Devon, by the way, at East Budleigh, but have lived in the north for most of my life. Thank you again, Christine.
